Ko Wai au? ko  Putahi toku mounga, ko Omapare toku roto, my land is rainforests but I am in New Zealand too. I am found in weedy streams and lakes, I am also found in protected places, I am related to earth worm I even look like one,I am different to other annelids because I am a segmented worm, I have no legs and no hard skeleton, I am divided into many little segments, like rings joined together.  I have simple eyes which detect light and dark, rough shapes and motion. I can trace my lineage back through Euhirudinea,  invertebrate, my common name is Hirudo medicinalis. My latin name is sanguisuga(sang-gwes-sue-gah)† my full name is Hirudinea I am a blood sucking worm basically.  What am I?

 We are created in God's image. this means I have God-given creativity and talents.

This week we read the parable of the three servants

What it was about....In the parable, there was a rich master and three servants, the master gave each a different amount of bags full of silver before he left, one servant went and invested his money and earned 3 more, and the other servant invested his ones and earned 2 more, the other one buried his bag of silver, when the master returned he got each of them to tell him what they had done with the bag of silver, the 1st servant said "I have earned 3 more bags for you master" "good we will celebrate you, my great servant" then the 2nd  servant cam and said "I've earned 2 more bags of silver for you master" "Good we will celebrate you, my great servant" then the last servant came up and said I thought I would lose your bag of silver but here it is "You lazy wicked servant! why did you do nothing with the bag of silver I gave to you!

Something taught me...Is that God has given everyone different talents like musical intelligence, linguistic intelligence, sports even swimming such as mine Interpersonal, for example, I am good at talking working in teams helping others mediating conflicts, and meeting new people.

How it can apply to me...It applied to me that you should never hide your talents, and you should use your things wisely.

 this week we have set goals to work towards. These are the goals I set with my class

Doubling And Halving Strategy

 In class we learned a new strategy called Doubling and halving 

When you do this strategy you look to see how you can make it easier

For Example 

5 x 48

You could half 48, which then becomes 24 then you double the 5 and it becomes 10. 

Now you can time 24 by 10 =  240

4 x 16

First you double 4, then that becomes 8, now you half 16 and that becomes 8

8x8=6
